About 50

My 50th birthday was in July and I wasn't sure how to mark the occasion. So I came up with the idea to launch a book of self portraits done by about 50 or so of my friends and family. 

The result is amazing!

This book is an astonishing collection of creative and inspired solutions to a very simple brief; create an image of yourself done by yourself.

But in addition to turning out to be a beautiful and inspired object, it has also helped to connect me with lots of people who I have either lost contact with or don't speak to as often as I'd like. 

I'm delighted by the outcome and touched by the creativity and generosity that has gone into each and every one of the images inside this beautiful book. I couldn't have dreamt of a better and more memorable way to be catapulted onto my fifties.
